  • IV Vitamin infusions are a relatively safe method for getting vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the blood stream.

  • The infusions vary in ingredients and each one may be helpfu for different concerns. The ingredients are generally mixd into 500m of normal saline but we can upgrade to a liter.

  • Each infusion is a little bit different in the ingredients and may help with a variety of concerns. That being said it’s good for almost anyone.

  • Those who have chronic renal conditions may not be appropriate. If you are pregnant you may not be a candidate. Although children can take vitamins and supplements, we only provide infusions for adults 18 and up.

  • Bruising at the IV site, nausea, dizziness, or headache. Some less common risks include infection at the injection site, rash, vein inflammation, blood clots, or even an allergic reaction.

  • IV Vitamin Infusions bypass the gut and are therefore not subject to the malabsorption that can occure with an impaired gut.

    *Infusions may help support the immune system.

    *They may help with dehydration.

    *Some ingredients may help with brain fog.

  • You will have paperwork that must be completed prior to receiving your infusion. A nurse will review it and any concerns will be clarified.

    After that a nurse will take your vital signs, do a brief assessment and discuss your options based on your medical history, meidcations and current goals.

    If everything looks appropriate, your nurse will place an IV and get your infusion started.

  • The infusion itself will take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on which one and how many liters.

    You will need to plan on additional time to complete the paperwork and for the nurse to review it, complete an brief assessment and place your IV.

  • Each person is different and their system may be be so depleted the affects of the IV aren’t that noticeable others might feel like a rock star!

  • Our provider can see you and medically clear you for one or all of the IV options. If you prefer your primary care provider can also write a prescription or medical clearance for you.

What to expect…

Before:

  • Drink plenty of water so you are well hydrated before you come. Being hydrated can impact the insertion of your IV.

  • Be sure you have eaten something prior to coming. Something with protein is ideal.

  • Wear a shirt that either is short-sleeved or you can easily roll the sleeves above your elbow without squeezing your arm too tight.

During:

  • You may feel pressure, or coldness. You might notice unusual tastes or smells as the vitamins make their way into your bloodstream. These sensations are normal and will resolve soon after your IV has finished.

  • Be sure to notify the nurse if you experience any burning, stinging, aching, nausea, light headedness, leaking, swelling or persistant pain.

After:

  • You may experience increased energy or a sense of wellbeing. This may occur immediately after or several days later. Some may be so depleted in their nutrients they need several IV treatments to start to feel better.

  • If you are new to IV Vitamin Therapy you may experience mild fatigue, headache, nausea or even light-headedness following the infusion and possibly a few days after.

  • You can resume your normal activities after your infusion. It’s important you stay well hydrated and eat healthy nutritious meals to optimize your infusion.

    This is a basic infusion of Normal Saline. Sometimes too much of a good thing is too much. So, we offer a simple solution that is generally good for anyone. Plan for about an hour; 1 liter of NS.
