Hormone Optimization Therapy
Biote:
We believe our patients deserve the best and offer bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) in partnership with the nation’s largest hormone optimization training company Biote. The Biote Method is backed by experience and scientific research centered around the idea of personalized, precision care.
The Biote Method utilizes small pellets placed under the skin with a simple, in-office procedure that results in the release of a steady stream of hormones over the course of months as the pellets are broken down and absorbed by the body. This allows individuals the freedom to experience the benefits of BHRT for 3-5 months without the daily or multiple times per week dosing requirements of other treatment modalities.
Hormones play an essential role in regulating many major bodily functions. This means that the smallest change in hormone levels can cause side effects throughout the body. Hormone optimization therapy is the utilization of various treatment modalities to support healthy hormone levels in both men and women to help mitigate symptoms that can be associated with hormone changes that occur with natural aging.

Common Hormone Replacement Therapy Questions & Answers…
Does Wild Woods accept health insurance?
As a full-service medical spa, Wild Woods does not accept health insurance as many of our services are not typically covered by health insurance. Documentation and receipts of payment will be provided upon request for the patient to submit to their insurance or health savings account for services which may qualify for reimbursement.
Is hormone replacement therapy covered by health insurance?
Insurance coverage varies from one plan to the next. At Wild Woods, we recommend directly contacting your insurance company to ask any questions related to potential treatment coverage.
Continuous hormone replacement therapy with pellets is not covered by health insurance for men or women. Hormone therapy options from compounding pharmacies are also typically not covered. Some insurance plans do provide coverage for HRT medications ordered through a pharmacy.
Is laboratory work required for HRT?
Yes. A comprehensive lab panel is required prior to starting hormone optimization therapy at Wild Woods to establish a baseline of current hormone levels and assess for potential medical conditions which can mimic or contribute to hormone changes. Follow up labs will also be required to evaluate the effects of therapy.
How to get required laboratory work completed prior to an HRT consultation?
We offer 3 options for completing required laboratory studies which are medically necessary for development of an individualized HRT treatment plan. Please contact Wild Woods if you have any questions related to specific laboratory requirements.
1. Contact Wild Woods (406-334-4079) to schedule pre-HRT consultation laboratory work. We have negotiated discounted cash pay rates with a third-party laboratory which allows us to offer a comprehensive laboratory panel for $250.
2. A written laboratory order can be provided to be taken to the patient’s laboratory of choice for billing through health insurance upon request. Wild Woods is not responsible for the billing associated with laboratory work billed through health insurance, and costs associated with these laboratory studies are the responsibility of the patient. Please note that depending on insurance coverage, the costs of the full laboratory panel could exceed the Wild Woods cash price of $250.
3. Laboratory work completed through outside health care providers is accepted at Wild Woods. Please have results faxed (844-419-2960) or delivered to Wild Woods two weeks prior to scheduled consultation. Additional hormone specific studies may be required prior to consultation as these laboratory studies are not always included as part of a standard annual laboratory panel.
Does Wild Woods offer fertility treatment?
No. The HRT methods utilized at Wild Woods are generally not recommended for men or women who desire to preserve fertility, actively trying to conceive, or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
